I like to think of the ‘heart’ as the graceful instrument that holds a level of intelligence that the mind cannot quite comprehend on a mechanical level. I believe the heart is more powerful than the mind as an intuitive feeler. Literary works, poetry and art have somewhat depicted this throughout history. I like to think of the heart as a portal to access deeper levels of consciousness and connectedness.

So why this post? Because sometimes we face the challenge of making decisions that go against everything our mind tells us— even when our heart is still probing us to move in a direction that the mind does not want to go. More often than not the subtleties of the heart knows what’s best; it’s like the heart is the wise old woman or man trying to teach the young and naive mind how to find its way in the world.
